Why on earth will someone call their child Messiah?
Now the dictionary meaning of Messiah is the promised and expected deliverer of the Jewish people- Jesus Christ....right?
So this couple from Tennessee could not agree on their baby's last name and they went to court about it. Thankfully the judge was sensible and asked them to change the baby's name.
How ridiculous. Imagine if that child grows up and starts answering to that name Messiah! How odd does that sound? Very odd I can imagine. So because she named her other children Mason and Micah, she wanted a name that will rhyme and her only option is Messiah.....Rubbish. What happened to other M names..... Martin, Melvin, Micheal, Moses and lots more.
Christianity take a lot of things from this world. I personally see it as an insult, can someone just wake up and name their child Allah? I bet not and you can imagine why.
Anyways the judge ordered them to change to Martin and the mother is going to appeal against it and fight to keep it.
I'd like to see how this ends.
