Tourist to the UK Beware of Medical Bills

Ok its not the first time I am hearing that people come to the UK from Nigeria for medical reasons.
Since the NHS started, healthcare is free in the UK at the point of use and paid for by general taxation. Which means, tax payers- working class people pay for it. So if you are working, you are paying tax as well as NI- National Insurance.
Basically if you come to the UK and are very sick, you go to A&E and they will treat you for free. I completely agree with this cos they save so much lives doing that, as oppose to other countries we both know that will ask for money even before they accept casualty.
Anyway some people are meant to follow up on foreigners that receive urgent healthcare so they can get some money but eerrrrm, don't think they do it. It might be due to different reasons, bogus address, bogus names and a whole lot of things. This is apparently costing the NHS a lot of money, at the moment about£24million!
Now if you go on holiday abroad, you get health insurance or you won't be treated, this is even in the EU o. Oh in America you definitely need medical insurance to receive healthcare. I actually think its only the UK that offers free healthcare.

People have been abusing the system and guess what!  Nigerians are one of the biggest offenders of this......Why am I  not surprised. Polish, Portuguese, Bangladesh , Pakistani and British Expats are also among the culprits.

This lady Bimbo Ayelabola came to the UK to give birth to her Quintuplets and it cost the UK £200k.

Accident and Emergency

I really wish I can only work 9-5 Mondays to Friday but in my kinda profession, its not possible yet unless I become a manager. I can always wish......can't I?

I've been working shifts this past week and its really annoying cos i start and finish at odd times and really blogging time is just not there.

I've been hearing stuffs in the news about people taking a meek outta the National Health Service, most especially Accident and emergency and errrrm  I must admit its getting worse.  Recently a woman brought her daughter to A&E to get dog poo off her shoe! Can you believe that? You can read the story HERE

Working in that area is really an eye opener. My last on call was on friday night and technically after midnight i can go and rest but i must be on site. I can tell you now that it rarely happens. Its after midnight that you get drunk people claiming some assaulted them mostly at a club. That's ok, it only just happened, it was an accident and that's why medics are there 24 hours.
The annoying part is  getting called to come and attend to patients at 3am is always very very annoying. Not for any other reason than when you ask them when they hurt themselves, some say last week, some say 3 weeks ago and I'm always like for real? So you chose to come to the Accident and Emergency at this time! How about going to the GP? If you don't have the time, how about the Out of hours GP after 5pm. But then you really can't turn them away, you do have to see to them.
But hey that is why I still have a job i suppose and I am getting paid but really if they want to save money and cut waiting times, maybe consider explaining to people what A&E means.

Well for someone like me that works shift, its gonna be a whole lotta wahala.
People in Barnsley have had to put up with this new people that calls themselves Friday Apostles!
Basically they chant and "pray in the woods" they call it "wilderness" disturbing the peace of the neighborhood.

Visitors from "High Risk"Nigeria and 4 other Countries to Start Paying £3000 Cash Bond before Entering the UK

 Long story short, visitors from India and other 'high risk' countries in Asia and Africa will be forced to pay £3,000 cash bond before they enter UK. Plans by Home Secretary mean visitors lose their cash if they overstay visa, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to be targeted. Its only a pilot scheme  but will later be extended to cover work permits and student visas.

Mandela Not Responding to Treatments

About 2 weeks ago, we heard Nelson Mandela was taken to hospital again. A few days later, they said he was responding to treatments. This week we heard again that he will be out of hospital shortly.

Alesha Dixon in love again and expecting first child with Azuka

I really like Alesha, she is an inspiration to loads of black young girls in the UK.

Africans sleeping on duty

No job is easy in this country, you almost *walk* on egg shells.

Two African are in trouble for sleeping  while on duty. Titilayo Ajala and Henretta Offae are accused of falling asleep during their 9pm to 7am night-shift at Westlands care home in Olney, near Milton Keynes.

This picture above shows the moment these two carers were apparently found asleep after allegedly unplugging the alarms of elderly patients so that they would not be disturbed.

FIFA Confederations Cup : Nigeria Vs Tahiti 3-0 First half

I wasn't gonna watch this match till a big bro mentioned it and before i could say Jack Robinson, my Oga asked to watch BBC 3!

They started the game well, chung Hue impressed us in the first minute, i think he is their oga really. What they didnt realise is they were playing with the African  Champions. First score after 5 minutes was a shock to the Tahitians, 2 deflections. The ball actually hit or shall i say passed thru two of their players but still scored.

When the Tahitians got ball possessions eventually, they tried but still wasnt good enough, ball possession was like 17 percent and Nigeria 60 something. This Oduamadi guy dey show himself, beat 2 players in box 18, kept his calm and  scored the 2nd goal. 3rd goal was a shame on theTahitians really, felt sorry for the keeper. He will get a hat trick at this rate.
They coulda scored much more that the first half, but that number 14  Ujah guy messed up and Mba as well, chai, you should have heard my oga scream the whole house down!

I hope they don't relax too much o, cos Uruguay and Spain still dey! Goal differencewill always help.

Miracle baby while training for half Marathon

Ok, This is not the first time I am hearing that ladies get pregnant and not know for a few months
but for 35 weeks! How is that possible? No Tiredness, dizzyness, period changes,
 mood swings? Na wa o.


Trish Staine from Minnesota just thought she was experiencing severe back pain after running nine miles, but it turns out she was in fact 35 weeks pregnant and ready for labour! I bet pregnancy will be the last thing on her list or even not be there at all because her husband  has had a vasectomy. (Male Sterilization)

Tulisa is a drug dealer?

Well she was was reportedly caught red handed by the Sun on Sunday as she arranged for half an ounce of the class A drug to be delivered to their undercover reporter in London.

“Whatever you want, he’s got it,” she boasted to the reporter before explaining how they go about arranging their deals.“We talk in lingo, like we know what we want. I can’t call him up and go, ‘’Have you got any?’ I’ll call him up and say ‘Have you got any sweets?’”, Tulisa added.

 The former X Factor judge then gave The Sun’s reporter the number for her friend
 and said he could sort some ‘white sweets out’.

However, Tulisa herself insisted that the cocaine was ‘never for her’ because she doesn’t do it however did later admit to smoking cannabis before she goes to bed. Yeah right! If we believe that we 'll believe anything!
