Reason for the season

Hi everyone....CAnt believe i havent blogged for almost a month.......really wierd isint it?
I've been extremely busy, that's y. Been in placement, been studying for exams, been doing assignments and a whole lot of stuffs has been traveling thru my lil brain.

Well i'm home for xmas holidays, i 'm so glad to be with my family again. Only that i have started shouting again. Got this brother that cant sit still for a minute, they just have to move or do something silly, i have to keep telling them stop this stop that.

People were so pleased to see me when i got home....Well it looked like they were......they also said i have added weight n looked more fresh....gosh i was more than happy to hear that. I thought i had lost weight cos i have been studying or cos of placement but obviously its the other way round, i'm adding weight, guess its because i'm enjoying my course.

Its nearly the end of the year, i'm thinking hard for some new year resolutions.....cant even remember the ones i made last year, but i know this year has been a great year for me, as in a very great one. I have had a fufiled year.....its been my lucky year. Things were just going on well for me this year and people around me can see that.
I cant thank GOd enuf. I 'm still expecting some xmas presents from Him, its not the end of the year yet.....got plenty of time.

And from u lot, send my presents b4 the rush hour.......ok?

Wishing u a very great christmas....do not forget, the reason for this season is Jesus Christ.......If u dont know Him then do not let this year go without you asking Him into your life. Its really simple to do. Just admit you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive you. Acknowledge Him as the Lord of your life and surrender your life to Him, ask Him to come into you life afresh....... Its as simple as that...........He knows and loves you more than u think....
For me, Jesus is my all in all.....cant do nothing without Him......i strive to know Him more each day.......
Its bed time, i'm alot relaxed tonight, which is y i blogged.........Its such a good feeling to sit and type again.
I'll be back b4 the new year

Take care

Merry Christmassssssssss everyone

Hey people........

Oh dear oh dear...... how have u all been? Me, I've been very fine..... been doing alot of things.
Did i tell u guys i was writing an exam...no, cant remember writing about it....but i passed. That alone is good, as in i was pleased with meself.

This week has been a good week, even though i'm always sleepy in lectures , it was still ok.
I enjoyed the bits that i had, and the fact that i finished early was just the best.

I was reading Metro the other day and i saw something about the government/police force providing flip flops for drunk ladies so they dont hurt themselves after a drunk night out...... WTH is that supposed to mean..... u ask
Ladies go out at night or during the day in high heel shoes. When they get drunk, they wont be able to walk properly in their heels and they end up hurting themselves. So to prevent them from hurting themselves, the government or the police force are planning to provide them flip flops ( slippers). How cute is that?

My personal Opinion......I think its just a waste of time/ money. It will encourage them to get drunk the more. Instead of the police finding them they might be looking for the police so they can get flip flops...........Well its not my money.....it can be actually cos i pay tax........
God help them.

I havent been watching Xfactor lately, but i just thought let me see wats going on there. It was fun......Those guys can sing. Some guy sang high school musical song.... i loved it but then its x factor, was is not supposed to be a proper song that they sing????? I dunno.... He sang it well. I have favorites already after tonight. One of the guys sang a Britney spear song....lol... It was just not for him. lol but he tried..... And i cant believe she Britney is in that studio. I have to watch the results show, need to see her. ....lol
I'm not a fan particularly but after all the news about her, just want to see her.... u know that feeling don't you?

I'll bring back my feedback about her...........
I need to comment about Cheryl Cole's accent...GOSH!!! she has a very strong geordie accent...... its cool sometimes but it can be annoying sometimes.... i'm begining to look out for it in their songs now....lol.
SEriously u need to hear her speak her accent is just too strong....
well not my biz is it? No.... she is already an icon, need to work on mine....lol

Monday 24 November 2008

U need to read this

Its monday morning and i have this very boring lecturer for about 3 hours, i've been thinking how will i cope even before i go to the class. I also came in late.....not that late, just about 5 mins and they havent really started.... dnt ask me why i was late.....too complicated....lol

Well this lecturer, as expected was boring and considering the fact that i slept late last night, i was so so tired but i had to stay awake just to listen to him. He said something that made me awake....... As u might probably know, i'm a radiography student and i have been on placement.

As a good practice, we give people changing gowns when we are taking xrays of the chest or any xray that require patients to take their clothes off. That is the norm here, but my lecturer today, bless him said a colleague of his that couldnt find a job in the UK went to Holland and when he came back to the UK, he brought back this story about not giving patient changing gowns........ And i was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? where is protecting a patient's dignity?

If that happens in the UK, OMG, u dont want to knw what will happen.I dont even want to imagine it. lol
Calling a patient from the waiting room, bringing them to the cubicle, and watching them walk bare chested to the xray room......especially if they are femalessssssssss..........

There will be a proper outcry, cos some patients even complain about the quality of changing gowns let so u can imagine if they done have one at all.
I will be researching African countries, as in how they do their xray, whether they do it bare chested as well but i really cant remember seeing one done bare chested in Nigeria.... I have had a couple done b4 but i just took my top off when i was infront of the xray machine not in a cubicle and then walking to the xray room...

Right, lunch break is finished, gtg back to class.....see u later

Want and Need

Hi people,
I didnt blog yesterday, wanna knw y???? OK I'll tell u.... I just downloaded Skype on my system and i have been adding people. So i came back from church yesterday, had something to eat, slept or rested for an hour and came back online.... Now wat was i doing online, checking facebook, talking on skype and watching Movies....How bad is that? Oh i did some school work as well.........

Back to church yesterday, I heard something that sounded like i have never heard it before...... Its what the bible says about want and need. I have heard that scripture so many times but it just did not click. I also remember my days in secondary school where we learnt about wants and needs in economics.
So this particular scripture is " God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus"
Notice it says Needs not want.....So relating that to me, i have been thinking, what exactly have i been asking GOd for? It looks like its more of want rather than what i need.

Just thought i'ld share it with u, think about your needs not what u want and ask GOd for needs and He was the one that said ask so He will definitely grant it unto u. Since yesterday, i have been deep thinking and thinking and changing my prayer style as well.......

Its worth trying

What is wrong with Arsenal this season

Have u been watching football lately......This season doesnt look good for

arsenal so far..... i wonder what' s happening to them. Is it just me or since Theirry Henry left the team some bad stuffs has been happening to them? I really pity coach Wenger cos i cant believe Arsenal lost to Man city......3-0.
Well, to all Arsenal fans out there......God help u .

As for my boys, the bluesssssss, well done this season. I'm so proud of u even though u are outta the Carling cup but you are still toppin the premier league...... so well done.

What was that u played today? Nil with newcastle, common guys u can do better.

Just keep ur place at the top will u?

How have u been?

Hey guys, how have u been? I've been good as gold. Been busy doing nothing and everything. Dont mind me....Uni has been pretty hectic, too much to learn. GOd help me.

I havent blogged for two days now so this is supposed to be long, after i have given u a low down of 2 days ye? Well let s wait n see.

My wednesday was fun, i went for lectures and came back home sat on the internet for the rest of the day watching movies and chatting from around 2am till late......how bad is that for a student who should be studying......dnt blame me, i wasnt just in that mood and i couldnt be bothered bloggin as well cos i wasnt happy for some strange reasons u dont wanna knw.
I guess the person responsible for that knows....lol please dont ask.......

I planned to go to church but got to knw it was conexxions day, house fellowship and i dnt belong to any group yet so i stayed home, did some cooking in between..... wanna knw what i cooked........jollof rice and some stew and i ate a very nice pounded yam.

I also went to the GP and she gave me the prescription for some acne creams abt 3 of them, i really cant be bothered buying them now cos i havent got that much money to spare...........y cant they just give students free meds hun? They give free meds to people that are on benefit sbut not to working class (i'm not working class.....just a student). Maybe i should go on benefit as well...what do u think?....lol GOd forbid.

I had a late night on wednesday n i woke up feeling tired i had an extra hour sleep but ......it didnt work. U ask y???? Cos i slept around 2 am without doing nothing useful on the internet.........

NEways, started thursday well, went for lectures around 11am and it wasnt bad at all apart from i had to learn stuffs again and this time another boring one....lol

I also did a mock exam, i intentionally didnt revise for that mock u knw? cos i wanted to knw where i am as in what i knew so far and guess what! i think i did well.....I havent seen the result yet but i'm sure i wil pass......I'll let u knw when i get the result......lol

I came home on thursday sat on the internet again for hours......... b4 i went to bed.

Today was fun, as in proper fun in uni.......I havent had days like this for a while now.....Lectures was too much fun... ...i was wondering y, only to realise my tutor was goin for her honey moon and it was her last session with us b4 our exams so she made us do a quiz, played against each other, and the winning team got a pack of roses chocolate........
We were about 6 teams in the class even though we were still splitted into 2 groups......dont knw if u get that.....ok We are 48 in total, and u were divided into two, one group was in another room.
In my group, (group 1) we we sub divided into 6 groups or so, not sure and we had questions relating to radiography and football and tv stars......how interesting is that?

I liked it cos it wasnt one of them normal boring lectures and i actually learnt some stuff. Maybe she needs to do more of this.....I'll think about telling her......Did i tell u....I'm a course rep so i can actually bring that up in our staff student meeting.......yeah right....good idea.

I was also relieved when i saw some of her past papers so it wasnt as bad as i thought. I'm ready now....not for the exam but for my revision......

I went to fellowship today as well. It was a movie night......that movie was interesting....Facing the giants..... I kinda liked it. It was just like a cinema .....God bless Elshaddai student fellowship cos i was blessed.....one thing i got outta that movie is that "There is nothing impossible for God to do". ...... and its true and its not like i dont knw this....i knew it long time ago but it was so so real whilst i was watchin the movie and now.....its still real. So i am trusting Him for all impossibles in my life....so pls join me ....hun?

Its past bed time now
I'm having a visitor tommorow and she might be coming in the morning so i better go to bed..whaaaaaaaaaaaaat???I knew it was late but didnt knw it was this late....Oh my daaaaaaaaaaaaays.
right got to run to bed now
Catch ya later

Tuesday 18 November 2008

Broke another record today

Guess what !
I just broke another record today.........I went to pizza hurt to celebrate my friends's birthday at night........WOndering why its a record?
If there is one thing i hate doing, its keeping late nights, i dont like it at all but i cant help it tonight, i had to go cos i love her so so much. But here i am, back home typing, so its not that bad. I lost my gloves tho, that is the only bad things that happened.....it replaceable isint it?
I had fun, i ate chicken supreme and super supreme or watever its called, i dunno but all i knw is that it was delicious......

Lectures today wasnt bad at all, it was kinda fun having that particular tutor again, but it wasnt fun learning again, i am so so used to being in placement now that i dont really fancy any long lectures....not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing..,..... I'll find out.

I went into town after skool today with my birthday friend to buy a dress and u dont want to know how many miles we walked before we found the one she liked.....some people are bad shoppers e.g. my friend.....dont go shopping with her.....lol

It was fun being with her anyway, at least for today, i had to endure, its her birthday ......so no complains.

I'm more than tired now, just had to blog.....
I've got another busy day tommorrow....got lectures, Gp's appointment.....Get understanding..... God help me.
Well i'll say good night on that note.
Till tmw, stay blessed.

Monday 17 November 2008

Another day is gone.....

Oh ye another day is gone, or nearly gone. I eventually slept last night and i woke up refreshed.
Only that i have this pain in my hips, and i bet i got that from walking long distance in heels yesterday.
Class wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. Even though it was boring, it wasnt too bad.
Everyone was gisting about placement and how it went. Gosh it was loads of feelings, some people liked it and some did not. The specific group that didnt like it got me thinking cos i 'll be going there for my next placement. They didnt have any good thing abt that placement.....well we are different so i'll see how i get on when i go there. I pray i will get on well, i really do.

I stood up in class today and i was kinda limping cos of my painful hips and one of my colleagues was like what have u done.......n i couldnt stop laughing cos i knew what she meant......all i could say was that its not what u think.....Gosh people and their dirty minds

I did some reading today yippieeeeeeeeeee, even though not for long. I realised i had alot to read in my Viscera 1 module. U dnt want to knw, and i dnt knw where to start from but i 've got to do my stuff.

Its so so late now, its bed time, i have really had a good day, it didnt look like it from the start but it ended well with GOd's help and a very special baby.....dont ask who.
Neways, do have a lovely rest. If u do get the chance to sleep, sleep well.

Sunday 16 November 2008

What a day!

I barely had any sleep last night, GOd knows y and i got up this morning feeling.......... guess u knw. Now my flatmates are being very noisy and that is so so annoying.

Well i had a good day, went to church and i enjoyed every bit of it. Heard my friend sing for the first time, gosh u needed to have been there.... there is always another time.

Another thing that caught me attention today was what the pastor said....DO what He says.... n i'm thinking, have i been doing that? I'm well stubborn, i dnt even listen to people i see Let alone GOd that i dnt see, i argue even with Him so I have been praying for the grace to obey Him.

On a lighter note, transport on sundays are crap as in big time crap..... i had to walk n wait alot today just because it is sunday. I dnt understand why sundays are different in terms of transportation. They think people dnt need buses n trains .....but we do. Just because alot of people dnt go to church doesnt mean people dont.....I'll see wat i can do that when i become a MP...lol

I'm back to uni tmw, i'm kinda looking forward to it and at the same time not looking forward to it cos i will miss placement.... I'm kinda used to it now.... well I'll see how it goes...

I'll gist u abt it tmw.
c ya

Saturday 15 November 2008

What would u do?

What will u do if u were playing ur favorite game and some crazy fan throws something at u????
That was what happened to Drogba, he was playing and someone threw a coin at him and he threw it back. So i read in Metro. Now he might be fined or banned......

Personally i wont say he did the right thing or not but i can say he was provoked but then he shouldnt have thrown it bak cos it wasnt certain that it will hit the person that threw it at him....... so i dunno, i dont want him banned cos he only just came back........and he is one of our "Chelsea" good players.....
On that note, i know the match hasn't ended yet but i 'll love to say well done to the boyzzzz, 3 goals in the first half........ I'm proud of u.....lol.

Guess what i did today, i was in church and when we finished i left my bible and i was almost home before i remembered....u needed to have seen the speed at which i raced back to the church. Wonder y???? cos i only just forgot one yesterday and i didnt realise until past 1 am this morning, i didnt even care i just texted out coordinator after which i thought ahhhhhh its too late but then the text was delievered.
So i couldnt leave another bible in church again today less than 24 hrs ago........ Now u dnt want to knw how tired i am.

I really cant wait to go to bed but i need to prepare for tmw. A new Foursquare Gospel Church is starting in Leeds...... In His presence Branch...Its gonna be great, be there..... if u can.

I have been postponing my reading all week.....and i have a mock next week...... I better go and do some reading before i sleep or better still after service tomorrow....I'll see what i can do.

Have a great nite and a marvellous sunday tmw.

Enough of celebrity gossip

Right, I think i have had enough of posting celebrity gossips which i havent been doing for a while now.....U can see that cant u?
I've been busy doing something very interesting, it might make me a celebrity some day u never can tell......guess what that is!!!! Radiography.
I started mid september and i have been enjoying it so far. I spent 6 weeks in Uni and we were all sent to placement after that.......

Placement has been great, u get to work with different sorts of patients and trust me some of them are fun to work with. The radiographers are great as well but some of them can be such a pain......

In my three weeks, my first two weeks was awesome in terms of the radiographers i worked with but this last week, i dunnno. She wasnt too bad but we just dont get along. I think she knows but just decided to play along.....what choice has she got???? She can actually choose not to work with me but there we go, she didnt .......I tried, cos i put up with her for the whole week without screaming so that's good.

Gosh, i am enjoying every bit of my course, i couldnt have chosen a better course.

Saying that, i dunno how i'm gonna survive when i go into the proper theatre cos the other day i was in a pain theatre and i nearly fainted but i guess that was cos it was boiling hot in there at that time. I went back earlier this week and i loved it, even though i cant watch needles go into people but i stayed in there till the end of the day, afterall i didnt go in there to watch that, i went to take xrayssssssssss.....ye right, xray. SO it was fun.

I better go n get something to eat now cos i am hungry.

See ya

Amy Winehouse finds God

Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil have turned to God to help save their marriage.
The 'Back to Black' singer spent her first wedding anniversary away from husband Blake Fielder-Civil - who is currently on remand in London's Pentonville Prison awaiting trial on charges of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and attempting to pervert the course of justice - yesterday (18.05.08).
Blake - who filled the pavement outside Amy's London home with flowers - has turned to Catholicism in a bid to turn his life around according to his mother Georgette Civil.
She said: "He's trying to turn over a new leaf while he's in jail and he's gone back to his faith which seems to be helping."
He's trying to turn over a new leaf while he's in jail and he's gone back to his faith which seems to be helping.
A source close to the couple added: "Even though he is in prison, Blake knew with just one phone call he could make a grand gesture with flowers and show he hadn't forgotten her.
"He wanted her to know he still thinks she is pretty special. Blake has been praying because he thinks it's the only thing that will make any difference."
Amy reportedly spent the anniversary drowning her sorrows at home, but emerged to collect the flowers from the pavement.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have confirmed reports they are now husband and wife.
The couple married in a sunset ceremony at Carey's home in the Bahamas on Wednesday (30Apr08).
Carey - who wore a traditional white gown and veil at the ceremony - has been dating Cannon since he teamed up with her in a new video.
She says, "We really do feel we are soul mates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.".
Cannon adds, "She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.".
It is the second marriage for Carey, who married Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola in 1993. Cannon called off his engagement to model Selita Ebanks last year (07).

Mariah Carey and Nick CAnnon 's engagement riddle

It appears Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are ready to make beautiful music together. Mariah Carey sparked rumours she is engaged to rapper Nick Cannon after she was seen wearing a huge diamond ring.

The 'Touch My Body' singer was sporting the impressive rock at the after-party for her new film 'Tennessee' at New York's Tenjune nightclub on Saturday night (26.04.08), where she held hands with the actor-and-singer.
An onlooker said: "Mariah and Nick looked really cosy. They were cuddling and made sure they held hands all night. Mariah looked really proud to there with Nick, and he seemed to be having a great time."
However, Nick - who, at 27, is 12 years younger than Mariah - refused to comment on any possible engagement, and would only say the 38-year-old singer is "a great person".
He added to MTV: "I can't even know what to say. She's probably the most festive, remarkable person I've ever met. She is a good friend. But rumours happen."
Mariah - who split from her record executive husband Tommy Mottola in 1997 - was rumoured to be dating Mark Sudack, a member of her management team, before she was first seen out with Nick in Las Vegas on April 15.
Nick was previously engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.
This will be the first marriage for the "Drumline" star.

Paula Abdul Makes Idol Blunder

Paula Abdul - American Idol judge Paula Abdul was left red-faced after making an embarrassing blunder on the hit reality TV show.
The singer was flummoxed after the series' producers changed the judging format from the usual pattern of appraising each contest after they had sung to waiting until all five had performed.
When asked to appraise first performer Jason Castro, Abdul gave her opinions on two performances - even though each singer had only sung once.
She told contestant Jason Castro, "Oh gosh, we've never had to write these things down ... fast enough. Jason, first song, I loved hearing your lower register, which we never really hear, um ... .
"The second song, I felt like your usual charm wasn't - it was missing for me. It kind of left me a little empty. The two songs made me feel like you're not fighting hard enough to get into the top four".
The audience launched into nervous laughter, before fellow judge Randy Jackson reminded Abdul each performer had only sung once, telling her, "That was just on the first song. Just on the first one".
She responded, "Oh my god, I thought you - I thought you sang twice!" before explaining she had got mixed up with her notes for the next performer, David Cook.
Abdul later blamed American Idol producers for her mix up, telling TV show Entertainment Tonight she has been "in the dark" over the change in format.
Fellow judge Simon Cowell also admitted the switch had been difficult, saying, "This was officially the strangest show we've ever done but I like that. It's kind of a bit chaotic tonight".

Beyonce Shops for Wedding Dress

Beyoncé Knowles reportedly went shopping for a wedding dress during a recent trip to Paris.
The 'Bootylicious' star, who refuses to confirm she's engaged to rap star Jay-Z, was spotted at the exclusive Max Chaoul boutique in the French capital where she reportedly looked at a variety of dresses.
But an insider revealed the sexy star was particularly taken by a $9,000 white satin and tulle design called 'Nymphy'. The observer told US magazine In Touch: "She tried on several wedding dresses, including one that was in the window."
The former Destiny's Child star was also spotted shopping for wedding rings at French jeweller Claudia Courteilles earlier in the day. Insiders claim the sexy singer will marry Jay-Z at the end of this year, but friends of the 34-year-old rap star claim he is desperate to marry the curvaceous beauty as soon as possible.
A source close to the couple said: "He'd elope with Beyoncé in a heartbeat. But Beyoncé is leaning toward a carefully planned wedding." Meanwhile, Beyoncé reportedly cleared the room after singing karaoke at her boyfriend Jay Z's party.
The beautiful diva picked up the microphone and within minutes saw everyone move to another bar at New York's hotspot, the Playstation 2 house.
A fellow reveller revealed to America's Us Weekly magazine: "She cleared the room because she sang a ballad. No-one wanted to sing after her so they all want to go dance."

Jamelia's death penalty

Jamelia has apparently said she wants the death penalty brought back.
The Superstar singer believes the government need to take strong action against gun and knife crime in Britain, according to The Sun newspaper.
Jamelia, 27, said: "National Service and the death penalty should be brought back.
"The justice system is a farce at the moment and I think it really needs to be tougher. There is a serious epidemic and it has to be stopped.
"If you have a gun or a knife, you should get an automatic prison sentence. If you carry a weapon you are prepared to take a life, it's that simple."
The R&B star, who was brought up in Birmingham, has experienced gang crime first-hand. Her 15-year-old brother Tesrod was stabbed to death when she was 13, and her half-brother Kiaro Beckford was jailed for life in 2004 for a gangland murder.
She is worried for the safety of her two daughters, six-year-old Teja and two-year-old Tiani.
She said: "I feel we are in an awful situation. I know people who have been sucked into a bad situation with gangs. I am very aware of it and I think it's absolutely awful.
"I do feel a lot more confident having girls than boys. I guess it's because of my experience having brothers. All of them have been touched by violence and tempted along the wrong path."

Britney Spears drugged

Britney Spears' manager Sam Lutfi frequently drugged her, according to the star's mother.
In a six-page declaration submitted as evidence for the restraining order against Lutfi, the singer's mother Lynne accused him of grinding up pills Britney takes for her bipolar disorder and putting them in her food.
Lynne said: "Sam told me that he grinds up Britney's pills, which were on the counter and included Risperdol and Seroquel.
"He told us that he puts them in her food and that was the reason she had been quiet for the last three days. She had been sleeping. He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could give her drugs to heal her brain.
"He told me, 'I'm the one who spends 24/7 with your daughter. I sleep in cars outside her house so she can't leave.'
"He also said that if he weren't in the house to give Britney her medicine, she would kill herself. Then he said to me, 'If you try to get rid of me, she'll be dead and I'll p**s on her grave.' "
Lynne also revealed details behind the argument 26-year-old Britney had with Lutfi, after which she was seen sitting on a roadside curb outside her house crying.
She said: "Sam had told Britney that she was an unfit mother, a piece of trash and a w***e, that she cares more about Adnan Ghalib, her current boyfriend, than she cares about her kids, and that she does not deserve the kids.
"Britney spoke to me in a tone and with the level of understanding of a very young girl. Britney then picked up a bottle of pills and read part of the label and asked us, 'What does insomnia mean?' Sam told her the pills will help her stay awake."
Meanwhile, Britney's father Jamie - who has been granted temporary control over his daughter's financial, legal and medical affairs - revealed the star struggled to accept being committed and begged him to rescue her from the psychiatric ward at Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center.
In court papers, he said: "Britney called me about every twenty minutes. She said, 'Hurry up and get here.' I asked her why. She said, 'Because you got to get me out of here.' I told her I could not get her out of there. She said, 'But I want you to.' "
Britney was involuntarily committed to the hospital last week.
She must spend up to 14 days in the ward after her psychiatrist deemed she wasn't well enough to leave.

Beckhams to adopt

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly planning to adopt a baby girl.
The soccer star, who was moved by his recent trip to war torn Sierra Leone, is trying to convince his wife to open their home to an orphan from Africa.
A source close to the couple said: "Adoption is something David has been talking about for some time. David feels they are a very privileged family and they should be able to share their good fortune.
"He loves being a dad and helping kids. If there is one subject that can move him to tears it's the thought of being unloved, uncared for and with no hope or future.
"Victoria loves kids and it is her dream to have a little girl. It is early days but it's looking likely."
David has also sought advice from his close friend Tom Cruise, who has two adopted children of his own, about whether or not he thinks it is a good idea.
The source added to Grazia magazine: "Tom has talked to David about how adoption changed him and how he's been able to change the lives of two amazing children.
"Since they've been living in Los Angeles, the Beckhams have met people for whom adoption is a reality and they feel it is the right time to explore their options. Tom has told him about how much pleasure he has gained from raising his two adopted children, Connor and Isabella."
Victoria - who has three sons, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and two-year-old Cruz with David - has always wanted a girl and has been collecting fashion accessories to one day hand to her future daughter.
She said last year: "When I buy bags I think of them as an investment. Someday, when I'm lucky enough to have a girl, I will pass them along to her. It would just finish off our family to have a little girl."

Spice Girls

The reunited girl band - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C - played 17 shows at London's O2 arena and as part of their reunion world tour netting them £50 million collectively.

Almost 400,000 fans paid up to £75 ticket to see them, making it one of the most lucrative concert residencies ever.

A source said: "It's been a huge success for them and this run of shows at The O2 will probably be the icing on the cake of their reunion. Barbra Streisand had high ticket prices but only did three nights while Prince did 21 nights but sold tickets at a very reasonable price - not many groups can sell out 17 gigs at £75 a ticket, it's quite an achievement."

Famous fans at Tuesday night's concert included Victoria's soccer star husband David, and their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and two-year-old Cruz. Sir Bob Geldof was also in the crowd along with his teenage daughter Pixie.

David Campbell, chief executive of The O2, said: "It's been a lovely, friendly, family atmosphere over the past few weeks, we have really enjoyed having the girls here."

The band now have two dates in Manchester before heading to the US where they will play venues in Boston, Chicago and New York.

Jennifer Lopez's baby shower.

Jennifer Lopez has planned a baby shower for January 22. The 'Do It Well' singer - who is reportedly due to give birth to her first child with husband Marc Anthony in March - is said to have booked The Private Roof Club in New York's Gramercy Park Hotel for the special event later this month.
A source close to the star said: "There will be a lot of celebrity friends there." Jennifer is set to hand out diamond-encrusted baby pacifiers as treats for her guests, expected to include close friend Victoria Beckham, Matthew McConaughey and Katie Holmes.
Jennifer recently revealed that despite wanting to have a baby herself, she was also constantly pressurized by her mother. She said: "When Marc and I first got married, my mother rang me every day asking if there was any news. I come from a big Latino family where it's all about having children. So the pressure was huge from the start." Jennifer is reported to be expecting twins, a boy and a girl.

3 Fats That Make You Skinny

Forget dry toast and plain vegetables. Adding these fats to your food can help you get the body you want.

1. Coconut Oil
Most oils, including corn and olive, are broken down into fatty acids that circulate through your body after you eat them, allowing hungry fat cells to suck them up and store them. Coconut oil, however, is rich in a type of fat rarely found in other foods, called medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). "When you eat MCTs, they go straight to the liver instead of going directly into circulation. There, they're burned up like kindling for a fire.

How to use it
Spread coconut oil on toast instead of butter, melt it on veggies or use it for sautéing. But don't deep-fry with it; coconut oil breaks down at high temperatures. Look for virgin oil (nonvirgin is processed and tastes nasty) at health-food stores. Beware: Coconut oil is saturated and can raise cholesterol and triglycerides, so alternate it with other oils.

2. Enova

Traditional fats contain three fatty acids, but Enova, an oil, has just two, so your body treats it differently. It's processed in much the same way as coconut oil, travelling directly to the liver, where it's burned off and used for energy. When people on low-calorie diets consumed 15 percent of their daily calories from Enova (between three and eight teaspoons), they lost 1 percent more weight and nearly 3 percent more body fat than those who ate a similar amount of vegetable oil.

How to use it
Enova's neutral taste makes it perfect for salad dressings. You can also bake and sauté with it, but don't use it for frying, as it can change taste and colour when overheated. Enova is expensive — it costs about double the amount of a usual vegetable oil.

3. Nut Butters
Research has shown that people who eat nut butters often weigh less than those who shun them. It's likely that the combination of protein, fat and fibre keeps you full, so you'll eat less overall.Whole nuts are effective, too: Purdue University researchers found that people who added peanuts to their diet for 19 weeks boosted the amount of calories they burned at rest by 11 percent. Why? The unsaturated fat in peanuts and nut butters burns faster than other fats.

How to use them
Nut butters add flavour to Asian noodles, satays or dipping sauces, or you can use them as a spread for your morning muffin. Chunky varieties are better, since they have more fibre than creamy versions. But a little goes a long way; the ideal amount is one to two tablespoons, not the whole jar. Use natural versions that are free of added oils and hydrogenated fats.

When Good Fats Go Bad

All fats contain nine calories per gram. To get weight-loss benefits, you have to substitute these for fat that's already in your diet, not tack them onto what's on your plate.

10 Powerful Skin Beauty Tips for you

Protect yourself from the sun --
use sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight between the hours of 10 and 2.
Do not smoke.
Your skin is a large organ and it needs a lot of circulation. Smoking impairs that dramatically. That's why smokers' skin looks dull and gray. Instead of having oxy-generated blood delivered to the surface of the skin, they're getting poisons and oxidants.
Get adequate rest and nutrition. Make sure you eat as much balance diet as you know. Fruits work magic as well.
Protect yourself from stress --
both emotional and environmental stress. It shows on your face when you are stressed.
Wash your face twice a day and put on the proper treatment product. I'm amazed when women tell me they don't wash their face in the morning. A lot of icky stuff collects overnight -- dead skin cells, dirt, and dust! Heeeeeeew.
Don't neglect certain areas of the skin.
Elbows, heels, neck, and décolletage need moisturizing, and your scalp and the tops of your feet need sun protection.
Touch your face less and wash your hands more!
Don't get too surgical on yourself. It's very tempting to pick, poke, squeeze, and scratch in front of the mirror. But the more you traumatize the skin, the greater your risk of scarring. Apply good treatment products, preferable from the same manufacture. Do not use cleanser from one and moisturizer from another, try same set of product and let them work. Mary Kay is a good company that produces all beauty products.
Keep your makeup clean.
Replace the sponges in your compact on a regular basis. Now and then, toss the whole works and start fresh -- the average shelf life for cosmetics is 6 to 12 months. Don't buy products so expensive that you'll be heartbroken if you have to throw them away.
Exercise moderation.
More is not always better. Moisturizer, for example, is the most overused product in America. We've been bamboozled by cosmetic companies into thinking every square inch of our body has to be slathered. And it's simply not true. Exfoliators are another thing to be careful with. Used too often, they over acidify and irritate your skin.
10. Beware of counter girls. If it were up to them, you'd be in the bathroom for two and a half hours each morning -- putting 80 layers on your face. Keep your regimen simple. And when you do add a new product, do it gradually so your skin has time to adjust. Each skincare or makeup product has an average of 20 to 40 ingredients -- you're introducing 20 to 40 potential allergens to your face every time you try something new. So keep it moderate!
