Andy Murray has finally won his first Wimbledon title after 77-years even before his parents were born, let alone him.
The 26-year-old Scot (He is Scottish- part of Great Britain) became the first British men's winner since Fred Perry in 1936, beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
Congratulatory messages has been flooding in!
Prime minister David Cameron was there, bless him. Bet he had to ignore what people think or say because he has a reputation of jinxing British sport events. So every time he attends, the Brits never win.
Here is what he said to the BBC.
"It was an amazing performance from Andy Murray, but also an amazing day for British tennis and for Britain. He never gave up and it was magnificent. "It was a privilege to watch Andy Murray making history."
Even the queen congratulated him. Well, what an achievement, I bet he is so proud of himself. Who won't be?
Congrats again Murray
